Writing Advice From Stephen King

These tales are told with a Texas twang. I include stories of real people that I discovered while writing books about famous and infamous Texas sites and writing Historical Markers posted along Texas roadways. Yes, real people write the words you see on those highway markers.

    1. I don’t read King’s books because I do not like scary stories, but I like some of his writing quotes. I especially liked “what separates the talented individual from the successful is a lot of hard work.”

      1. GOOD ONE. i AGREE, WE ALL KNOW THAT, AND PERSEVERANCE FURTHERS.. Have you read Dark Tower sires , masterpiece in my opinion. Not much scary stuff – much fascination pulls you on. Simone’s recorded all of these on tapes – hes very good, Outstanding reader.. Cant recall his name this moment and too
tired to go and look for them. Steve King will tell you how he is.

  2. Thanks Myrah. This is a good one! Agree with Shimon, terror not the finest. I think perhaps erotic and terror are two of the easier emotions to evoke – but nothing is easy.

    1. Thanks, Bruce. We all agree that terror is not the finest. I enjoyed the read. I don’t even read Stephen King. His stuff gives me bad dreams.

  3. I have read his book on writing and learned a lot. I also am not a reader of his books, but he has a lot to say about the craft of writing.
